Our story
So, here's the deal...
Hi! We’re Jo and Jason, the husband-and-wife team behind We Hart Holidays. After years of juggling businesses, school runs and busy family life, we made the slightly crazy decision to pack up everything we knew and move our family 200 miles south to the North Devon coast.
We’d fallen completely in love with this part of the country and wanted to build a life with more time together, more freedom and, of course, the beach on our doorstep. We Hart Holidays was created from our love of family breaks and our belief that where you stay can make such a difference to your holiday. We offer welcoming, well-cared-for holiday homes in beautiful or unique locations, with all the little touches we’d want when travelling with our own family.
We’re a small, family-run business, which means there’s no faceless company behind your booking. It’s genuinely us answering your messages, preparing for your stay and making sure everything is just as it should be.
We want you to feel comfortable from the moment you arrive, switch off from everyday life and enjoy proper time together. Because the best trips aren’t always about doing everything. Sometimes they’re simply about slowing down, making memories and being with the people who matter most. We’re really glad you found us, and we’d love to welcome you to one of our holiday homes.

Fresh linen, plenty of coffee, a hand-written note and the heating already on. The small stuff is the whole thing.
Back the little guys
Our welcome baskets come from village bakers and makers, and our guest guides send you to independents first.
Family always
The kids help decorate and build furniture and every property has been set up with love by the Hartley family.
